Indian and Chinese astrology

Indian or Vedic astrology is based on the Moon sign and follows the method of Nirayana. The time of Sun rise, approximately 05:30 am initiates the beginning of a new day and date as well. The position or degree of the Moon is determined by its rotation over a particular time span with respect to its rotation in 24 hours. Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces. Similarly, the Chinese Zodiac also follows twelve divisions.
